Privacy Policy

SLATEBP LLC · Effective September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SLATEBP LLC ("SlateBP", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the SlateBP application and website (the "Service"). We collect only what we need to run the Service, we do not run advertising or third-party tracking, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your email address, an optional recovery email address, an optional display name, and the credentials you choose. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information Google provides (your email address and account identifier) — never your Google password. If you contact us through the in-app support messages or by email, we receive the content of those messages.

Information collected automatically. Like most online services, our servers automatically record limited technical data when you use the Service, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We use this data for security, troubleshooting, and service operation, and we retain it only for a limited period.

Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems; we receive only your subscription status. Stripe's handling of your data is described in its own privacy policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To create and secure your account and verify your identity;
  • To process subscriptions and manage billing;
  • To respond to your messages and provide support;
  • To send service communications such as verification codes and important account or policy notices;
  • To protect the Service and our users, and to comply with law.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the kind required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking, so there is nothing to opt out of. Because we do not track you across other websites, the Service does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the Service — such as payment processing, cloud hosting, and email delivery providers — and only to the extent needed for them to perform their role. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of SlateBP or its users, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition (in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information).

5. Data security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or misuse. Data is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except records we are required to keep for tax, billing, or other legal purposes, which we retain only as long as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@slatebp.com from your registered address. We respond within 30 days, and we honour these requests regardless of where you live.

8. US state privacy rights

If you live in Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have specific statutory rights, including the rights to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access, correct, or delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. We do not engage in targeted advertising, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise your other rights, contact us as described above. If we decline a request, Virginia residents may appeal by replying to our decision; if the appeal is denied, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we delete it.

10. International users

SlateBP is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

11. Third-party links

The Service may reference or link to third-party websites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
